Using your waist trainer

Using your waist trainer

Let’s discuss about the beginners guide to waist training. Only wear your corset 1.5-2 hours the first time you wear it. Repeat this step several times over the first several days of breaking in your corset. This applies not just to those who wish to waist train, but also those people who have purchased a corset for a special occasion like a wedding or event. Listen to your body and take it slow! If you plan on waist training, the keyword is “gradually.” Don’t tighten to the point where it’s painful. We recommend gradually increasing your time from 1.5 hours a day to around 6-8 hours a day over the course of 10-14 days. Take your time lacing yourself down tighter … don’t rush it! I know you want to see your results TODAY, but you risk damaging the corset (and yourself) if you try too much too soon.

Waist training doesn’t stop with just a small adjustment. As you use the trainer, you will notice that your waist gets smaller. When it does, you tighten the trainer… to get even smaller. I’ve seen waists go from a 2 XL to a small by working with the trainer. You should see some of their waists now! I am asked this question a lot by skeptical minds. The simple answer is… ab.so.lutely! Believe it or not, our bodies are trained to morph. It’s just like lifting weights or running a lot. Your body is going to shift and change to match what you are doing to it. That means that waist training simply adds in a different approach to working with your body and getting it to help with the results you want and need.

The key to getting the very best results is getting the size right from the start. The importance of this cannot be over-emphasised. You might be tempted to squeeze into the smallest size possible in the hope that you’ll end up with that tiny waist you’ve always wanted. However, if you’ve chosen a size that’s too small you’ll feel desperately uncomfortable and you won’t get those gorgeous smooth curves that you’ve seen elsewhere. Shapewear that’s too tight creates unwanted lumps and bumps and won’t be a flattering look. If in doubt, it’s better to size up than to wear a waist trainer that’s a bit of a squeeze.

How To Use a Waist Trainer
1. Your body must become accustomed to the constriction of the waist trainer. We recommend that the first few days of wearing the trainer to wear for limited amount of time 2-4 hours per day (depending on how much you feel is comfortable).
2. Gradually add an hour or two to your regime until you are able to wear the trainer through out the entire day.
3. Once the trainer is worn-in you can then begin to use the second set of clasps making the trainer tighter.
4. As you lose weight it will become more comfortable and will not feel as tight.
5. Now you can progress to the next size down as part of your continued weight loss regime. See extra info on Waist Training Guide.

What people write about WaistTrain : “Absolutely loving my waist trainer. Much better than any ‘suck me in’ pants and way cheaper! It’s really comfortable and doesn’t ride up or down like others. It’s given me my confidence back since losing my waist after having my 2 nippers!” I don’t have huge results yet, but just because of that I got lots of my confidence back, I simply feel way better with myself.”

During the weight loss process, you will begin to see and feel the difference as the waist trainer becomes more comfortable and less tight. Bear in mind that everyone’s body shapes are different and that results are not always replicable. To get the dramatic results that a waist trainer can offer, you’ll need to know your own size first. Most women only have a rough idea so it’s often helpful to measure yourself so you know you have the most up to date measurements. Always use a fabric or vinyl tape measure as these won’t stretch, and make sure it remains parallel with the ground at every point. We recommend using two waist trainers during your weight loss program in order to give each trainer a resting period. This will ensure maximum effectiveness in keeping your stomach firm. Your waist trainers should be hand washed in warm water with a non-scented detergent and laid flat to air dry.
