Can you play it? It’s difficult to overstate just how big of a hit Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V remains even today, six years after its launch. Grand Theft Auto V routinely finds itself in the top-10 monthly software sales all these years later. GTA V has sold well over 100 million copies, which places it behind only Minecraft and Tetris in total game sales. It’s the premier Grand Theft Auto experience, featuring a lavishly realized open world filled with interesting characters and dynamic missions and activities. The gunplay is superb and the driving feels as great as dedicated racing games. Millions of players still regularly visit Los Santos thanks to GTA Online, the packed in online version where you can complete missions with friends and make your own fun. Rockstar continues to update GTA Online weekly, adding new events, vehicles, and buildings such as the remarkable Diamond Casino, complete with a variety of mini games.
Monster video strain resource game pick of the day : Though Quantum Break is undeniably a very pretty game, the reason for its ludicrous PC requirements (the unofficial ones, mind you – not the bogus, unrealistically low ones that Microsoft claims) are due almost entirely to its nightmarish lack of optimization. Few PC ports can hold a candlestick to how poorly executed this one was, at least for the first few months after its launch. With abysmal frame rates on strong graphics cards, constant driver crashes and a host of other issues, Quantum Break on PC has never been the experience it was meant to be. With that in mind, it certainly lives up to our title – if you want a gorgeous and demanding game for your PC, give this bad boy a whirl. You’ll be lucky to hit 60 fps on max settings with anything less than a NASA Pleiades supercomputer. “Recommended” specs (aim higher): CPU: 3.9GHz Intel Core i5-4690 – RAM: 16GB – Storage: 42.3GB – GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970, AMD Radeon R9 390 – OS: 64-Bit Windows 10. See additional details at Sys requirements.
I like Star Wars games and usually this games are resource intensive. Jedi Power Battles delivers something that you’d think would be more common in Star Wars games: the simple joy of using a lightsaber to slash through hundreds of enemies with a partner by your side. It’s not the prettiest or deepest game, but it’s fun, and it does feature a solid selection of prequel-era Jedi. There are even quite a few unlockable characters and levels if you really get into the game. And while the Dreamcast version is easily the best, even the Game Boy Advance port isn’t too shabby. The Phantom Menace was a pile of…bantha fodder. I’ll never forgive George Lucas for Jar Jar Binks, or for (spoiler alert!) killing off Darth Maul after having him on screen for about five minutes. But, it’s hard to argue against how exciting the Pod Racer scene was. Turns out, it didn’t make for a bad game, either. Originally for the Nintendo 64 (Dreamcast, PS2 and even a superior arcade machine version – complete with full-scale racer cockpit – were eventually produced too), Star Wars Episode I: Racer turned the scene quite effortlessly into a racing title. Somewhere between Wipeout and Mario Kart, it had a great campaign mode that let you upgrade parts for your pod racer, buying scrap from sleazy merchant Watto. With winding canyon courses that require you to do the floating-on-one-side-to-fit-through-a-chasm trick, it had a few heart-in-mouth moments, too.
